What's on this site?

The portal is a new way in which to explore new mobile digital content, services and applications. We've prepared some resouces to help you enjoy the Hobart waterfront.  Visit the main attractions, check out local events or read about the area in our waterfront guide book. Check the view of Hobart looking back towards Mt Wellington from our  new webcam!

Where is the hotspot?

The external hotspot currently includes the area immediately around Salamanca Place, Parliament Gardens, Princes Wharf No1 and Salamanca Square. Coverage has also been extended across the waterfront to the Henry Jones Art Hotel side of Hunter Street, including Constitution and Victoria Docks.You can download a PDF map here.

Are there any costs?

There is basic free internet connectivity for visitors who are in the hotspot area. Registration is easy! Once the free session is over, you have the option of purchasing internet access through our project ISP partner, Tasmanet Pty Ltd 

New Hobart Retail CBD Website Launched!

The Hobart City Council and Hobart Chamber of Commerce have launched a new dedicated website about the retail heart of Hobart! One Hobart allows vistors and residents that ability to explore the myriad of shops and nooks and crannies that make the CBD a delight to explore!  Did you know that there 495 speciality shops, 89 fashion stores and 78 cafes and restaurants to name a few..........
