Wi-Fi Coverage Extended across the Waterfront!

The project team is pleased to announce that Stage 2 of the planned expansion for the coverage of the network and Wi-Fi hotspot is now completed. The network now extends across the immediate Hobart water front, encompassing Brooke Street Pier, Elizabeth Street Pier, Constitution and Victoria Docks through to the Henry Jones Hotel side of Hunter Street. Many thanks to our project ISP partner Tasmanet for the quick installation and deployment of the 7 additional Ruckus Access Points and backhaul equipment necessary to allow the full integration (or "meshing" in wireless speak) with the previous Stage 1 deployment in the Salamanca precinct. The support of both Tasports Corporation and the Hobart City Council in facilitating the deployment is also greatly appeciated.
